چکیده
In this work, TEMPO cellulose nanofibril (TOCNF) laminates were fabricated using a layup method. Two different TOCNF layers tested, neat and with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) strengthening aid four epoxy formulations as interlayers for the laminates. Flexural testing showed correlation between presence of stronger (TOCNFs + PVA) in laminate higher flexural strength, bending modulus, work failure. Different modes fracture within occurred based on type. A stiffer generated reduced mechanical response substantial intralayer damage. On other hand, more ductile increased WOF laminates, inducing delamination at interface. The addition silane coupling agent (APTES) resulted compatibility TOCNFs epoxy, generating an ultimate tensile strength (UTS) decreased energy to rupture associated reduction crack digression mechanisms system. general, (TOCNF adhesion (APTES), increase 61%, modulus 80% same failure when compared original Finally, impact materials was performed first time literature, specific comparable those achieved by acrylic borosilicate glass, while maintaining or similar glass. Laminates good transparency low haziness.

Mechanical performance of cellulose nanofibril film-wood flake laminate
Homogeneous and transparent CNF films, fabricated from the (2,2,6,6tetramethylpiperidin-1-yl) oxyl (TEMPO)-modified CNF suspension, were laminated onto wood flakes (WF) based on phenol-formaldehyde (PF) resin and the reinforcement potential of the material has been investigated. The focus was on the influence of CNF film lamination, relative humidity (RH), heat treatment, and anisotropic proper...
متن کاملStrength and Water Interactions of Cellulose I Filaments Wet-Spun from Cellulose Nanofibril Hydrogels
Hydrogels comprising cellulose nanofibrils (CNF) were used in the synthesis of continuous filaments via wet-spinning. Hydrogel viscosity and spinnability, as well as orientation and strength of the spun filaments, were found to be strongly affected by the osmotic pressure as determined by CNF surface charge and solid fraction in the spinning dope. The tensile strength, Young's modulus and degre...

متن کاملCellulose Microfibril/Nanofibril and Its Nanocompsites
Cellulose micro/nanofibril (CMNF) as a reinforcing material for composites is becoming more and more attractive to researchers in composite science because of its potential lightweight and high strength. CMNF is generally prepared by either physical treatment, e.g., by a high pressure homogenizer and/or high pressure refiner, or chemical treatments, e.g., acid hydrolysis. In this study, attempt...
متن کاملHigh-performance green flexible electronics based on biodegradable cellulose nanofibril paper
Today's consumer electronics, such as cell phones, tablets and other portable electronic devices, are typically made of non-renewable, non-biodegradable, and sometimes potentially toxic (for example, gallium arsenide) materials. These consumer electronics are frequently upgraded or discarded, leading to serious environmental contamination. Thus, electronic systems consisting of renewable and bi...
